Posner has played a significant role over the course of his career in the planning and creation of dozens of housing developments totaling over 2000 units beginning in the 1970s. A major focus of his work has been the creation of beautifully designed, high-quality, mixed-income communities characterized by a creative blend of private and public financing and successfully marketed to households with a broad range of incomes. This “mixed-income” approach to affordable housing is preferable to one that reserves housing exclusively for low income households.
